Whether you are just starting out or an experienced clay target shooter, the CPSA Academy is here to give you the very finest shotgun training in the sport today.

The CPSA Academy is an exciting new national learning programme dedicated to teaching all practical aspects of the sport. We at Shooting Events offer the CPSA modular courses 0 to 4, designed for those about to take up, have just started the sport or established shooters who wish to improve on competitive scores.

These Courses allow you to step onto the CPSA Academy learning ladder. We are the right choice. We offer you relaxed, flexible and professional tuition within the national network.

Our course leaders are highly experienced Instructors and Coaches who are CPSA accredited and CRB Certified. That means you will be certain of getting the finest introductory training in the South East of England.

The CPSA Academy is governed and regulated by the CPSA - clay target shooting's national governing body - so our standards are second to none. The Official Course certificates and badges we award are issued by the CPSA and both recognised and respected within our sport. So if you want to learn the right way, the best way, there is only one way of doing it.

The CPSA Academy courses are open at no extra cost to non-CPSA members.

Module 0. The Clay Target Experience.

A taster session that is designed to provide a short, informal, clay target shooting lesson. The Clay Target Experience is an ideal vehicle for corproate hospitality, familes, groups of friends or co-workers, National Shooting Week and the organised school holiday 'have a go' session. The Clay Target Experience is intended to encourage those who enjoy the 'Experience' to continue on into the CPSA Shotgun Skills Programme. Timing is fleixible and can be adjusted to suite your needs. A 1 to 1.5 hour session would be typical.

Intinerary. Max. 1.5 hours - For ages 8 - 80*.

Module 1. Discover Clay Target Shooting.

As an existing or potential shotgun owner this Module introduces you to best practice within the sport of both clay target and game shooting. The content is invaluable whether you have already experienced clay shooting and just about to take up the sport or have recently started. You will get sound factual advice and instruction in relation to shooting safety, gun handling combined with the accredited CPSA 'Method' of breaking targets.
We also offer free 'post Module' Academy support to help you develop your skills and expertise. We personally recommend local and specialist gunsmiths, products and equipment. We will also support you should you want to attend further Modules or mentor you towards qualifying as an Instructor.

25 Clay Targets (up to 25 additional clays and cartridges charged pro-rata) with one to one coaching dedicated to learning the CPSA 'Method' of breaking the target

Module 2. Shotgun Skills.

As a more experienced beginner or club shooter Module 2 introduces you to a more indepth look at you and your shooting equipment. The module includes topics from your stance and gun fit through to safety, guns and and cartridges. You will get a more dedicated explanation and practice in respect of the CPSA 'Method' of breaking targets. The Law relating to firearms will also be a key element.
We also offer free 'post Module' Academy support to help you develop your skills and expertise. We personally recommend local and specialist gunsmiths, products and equipment. We will also support you should you want to attend further Modules or mentor you towards qualifying as an Instructor.
